Burns Night Celebrations!
23rd Jan 2026
As part of P3/4’s World Around Us topic, the children have begun exploring Celebrations Around the World.
With Burns Night coming up this weekend, they have been learning all about this special Scottish celebration. They have enjoyed ceilidh dancing, weaving paper to create their own tartan patterns and learning some of Robert Burns’ poetry.
Today they experimented in a blind taste test of traditional Scottish foods, tasting sweet shortbread and teacakes to haggis, neeps and tatties! Some foods were enjoyed more than others.
